i am keeping calm, waiting out my last 26 days in istanbul and buying a lot of stuff.

these toys really suck. they especially suck when you dont want to play with them but have to because the 3 1/2 year old kid that they belong to cant figure them out. hello, they are for ages 8 and up, it says it on the box.

we now have a puppy

well, my turkish family has a puppy. i dont have anything. however, i get to play with it and pretend that its mine for the next 27 days. oh, his name is oscar and he is really, really cute.

being vegan isnt always the easiest thing to be when living in the middle east. however i am doing just fine. the food is always fresh and it is usually homemade. i love the food here but it is also my worst enemy.
